Gus's canon includes an attempted genocide attempt against his people that Gus was present for. It failed, but at the canon point I've taken him from, Gus doesn't know if his home is still intact because another villain took over just as he was leaving.

Also Gus has a magical amplifier that allows for limited mind reading. He's only used it once on his biggest enemy and had it used once on him, so he won't be something he does willy-nilly because it's shown to be deeply painful. Any situation where it comes into play will be after OOC discussion, but if you want it off the table entirely, let me know.
